For your first and second stage regulator combo service, we begin by connecting your 1st stage to our A.I.R testing system to check your intermediate pressure at 200 bar and at 50 bar.
- We hook up your 2nd stage to our magnahelic gauge to check its cracking effort
- Your SPG is also checked at this point to confirm correct reading with our master gauge
- We carefully disassemble it all using high quality manufactures recommended tools
- We look for any damage that may effect the performance of your regulator set.
- We remove all of the old silicon grease with microfibre cloths.
- We check mouthpieces for holes, perishing and that mouthpiece lugs aren’t torn or chewed off.
- We check your 2nd stage regulators purge buttons for signs of disintegration from UV destabilisation.
- We check your 2nd stages for cracks in the body.
- We check that all adjustment knobs and levers are fully functional
- We check for rattling levers.
- We check your 2nd stage diaphragms for holes and elasticity.
- All of your metal parts are put into our special non-corrosive solution and ultrasonically cleaned.
- Parts are then placed in hot water to remove any cleaning solution.
- Parts are dried off with a blow gun.
- We then crack open your manufacturers service kit, check the integrity of all there O ring.
- All O rings are greased up ready for reassembly.
- The 1st & 2nd stage are then reassembled and correctly torqued up to your manufacturers specifications.
- The IP is set.
- The cracking effort of your 2nd stage is set
- We connect it all up to your quick set machine and dry dive your regulators for 30 minutes to ensure all seats are bedded in and that it is preforming as required.
- We fine tune and make adjustments to both your first and 2nd stages
- We verify all settings are correct.
- Final check that everything is secure and and in place.
- Write up report on your gear so you know what’s going on in your combo.
