To begin servicing a first stage we connect it to our A.I.R testing system to check its intermediate pressure, known as I.P. Checking the I.P gives us an insight to any problems that may be present and an idea of its overall performance.
- We begin to carefully disassemble it using high quality manufactures recommended tools
- We look for any damage that may effect the performance of your 1st stage regulator.
- We remove all of the old silicon grease with microfibre cloths.
- All of your metal parts are put into our special non-corrosive solution and ultrasonically cleaned.
- Parts are then placed in hot water to remove any cleaning solution.
- Parts are dried off with a blow gun.
- We then crack open your manufacturers service kit, check the integrity of all there O ring.
- All O rings are greased up ready for reassembly.
- The 1st stage is then reassembled and correctly torqued up to your manufacturers specifications.
- The IP is set.
- We connect it up to our quick set machine and dry dive your first stage for 30 minutes to ensure all seats are bedded in and that it is preforming as required.
- Finally we fine tune and make adjustments verifying the correct pressure at both the high end and the low end of the cylinder pressure cycle.
- Write up report on your gear so you know what’s going on.
