What’s included:
Prior to disassembling your scuba regulator, we begin with mapping how your gear is configured so you can be reassured that when you get your gear back it is in the same configuration as you gave it to us.
ScubaĀ regulator pre service diagnostics reportĀ
- Your scuba regulator set is connectedĀ to our A.I.R testing system to analyse the performance and diagnose any pre-existing problems with your dive gear. This is done by simulating a full cylinder of air at 200 bar as well as being done by simulating an empty cylinder of air or 50 bar of air.
- Your SPG is also checked and tested against our calibrated master gauge at this point to confirm its functionality and accuracy. If your gauge is out by 10 bar or more it fails.
- All your scuba regulator hoses are checked for separating of hoses swages, hoses perishing, kinking, cuts or gashes in them.
- Your mouthpieces are checked for holes, perishing and that mouthpiece lugs aren’t torn or chewed off.
- All your adjustment knobs and levers are checked to be sure they are fully functional
- Your 2nd stages are checked for cracks in the body.
- Your 2nd stage levers are checked for rattling.
- Analog depth gauges are checked in pressure pot for depth accuracy
- Compasses are checked air bubbles, cracks in the screen and for direction accuracy.
Scuba Regulator Disassembly and Cleaning
- Your gear is all carefully disassembled using high quality manufactures recommended tools
- As we disassemble, we continue to search for any damage that may effect the performance of your regulator set.
- Your 2nd stage diaphragms are checked for holes and elasticity.
- All of the old silicone grease is removed with microfibre cloths.
- All of your metal parts are put into our special non-corrosive solution and ultrasonically cleaned.
- All metal parts are then brushed off and dropped into hot water to remove any cleaning solution.
- Non metal parts are hand washed before being placed in hot to remove any cleaning solution.
- All parts are dried off with a blow gun and put back on the service bench for a final inspection ready to reassemble.
ScubaĀ RegulatorĀ Reassembly & Testing
- All O rings are inspected and greased up.
- Both your 1st & 2nd stages are then reassembled and correctly torqued up to your manufactures specifications.
- Your gear is reconnected back up to our test station and start the initial tunning of your 1st and 2nd stages
- Your Intermediate Pressure (IP) is set and checked at 200 bar and at 50 bar.
- The cracking effort of your 2nd stages are set.
- Your gear is then set up on our quick set machine and dry dived for 30 minutes to ensure all seats areĀ bedded in and that it is preforming as required.
- After everything is seated we make the final adjustments to both your first and second stages and fine tune them to the precise requirements of that band and model of scuba regulator.
- All settings are verified to be correct by referencing your manufactures service procurers.
- Mouthpiece, pins and accessories are all returned to your scuba set.
- A final check is then carried out to confirm everything is secure and reassembled back to how you gave it us.
- A full performances report is then written up about your gear and it’s now ready to be collected, ready to go on its next dive adventure.
